We are certainly talking about a niche tourism dedicated to those who love art in its pictorial form and to those who try to imagine a space and a territory by looking at a painted landscape. However it is a type of 'cultural' tourism that can only grow in numerical terms and probably among tourists from northern Europe. Some define it eco-sustainable tourism, but certainly if done all by yourself absolutely cheap and can be organized maybe in a weekend.

Come on, how many of you have not tried to guess at least once what landscape was represented in a painting? A few years ago the project was born Montefeltro Renaissance views who wants to identify the landscapes painted by the great Renaissance authors between the Marches and Emilia Romagna. Thus we started with some famous paintings by Piero della Francesca.

Thanks to the work of two scholars, some landscapes of Montefeltro have thus been identified in some famous paintings and today the balconies from which to observe them are being completed. I guess fans of mountain bike, for example, who can easily go up these places and then stop to admire the surrounding landscape by observing a copy of the painting installed with its specific caption, in English.

Today in the Montefeltro we have seven balconies in total divided as follows: in the Marche at Cà Moretto, near Urbania; then to Pieve del Colle in the Metauro valley; in Villagrande in Palazzolo on the slopes of Monte Carpegna and in Pugliano. In Emilia Romagna they are all located in the valley of Marecchia and precisely they are in the pretty village of Petrella Guidi in the municipality of Sant'Agata Feltria and two in Monte San Gregorio in the municipality of San Leo.

Ad every balcony and a Renaissance view corresponds to a painting. For this spring all the observation posts will be complete and usable in what are precisely defined as balconies and I personally will certainly not fail to try them one by one, perhaps doing some trekking.
