Eat the cacio e pepe at La piazzetta de Roma

The La Pisana neighborhood is one of the busiest I've ever seen in Rome, for traffic, cars and people out and about at any time of day. Here is the restaurant The small square in Rome, with menus written in Italian, English and Roman. Giancarlone is the owner and chef of the restaurant, and dominates with his caricature on the first page of the menu. When you sit down in such a place and start reading a thick paper of Roman language, poems and rhymes, you are bound to be in a good mood.

The dishes offered are those of the typical Roman cuisine, those we wanted and those we were looking for. So an appetizer with the lamb offal, a plate of tonnarelli with cheese and pepper, Jewish artichokes, saltimbocca alla romana and bulk wine from the Roman castles. Above all the cacio e pepe, really delicious and with the pasta really well cooked. The rest, so-so, if I'm really honest.

Parking is mission impossible and you have to adapt to the situation by getting by, but with a small child in tow I couldn't move otherwise. As soon as you find a hole, squeeze in, otherwise someone else will. There were three of us, in addition to my daughter, and we spent 21 € each.

It is also possible to eat a pizza, but we wanted to experiment with cooking. It certainly did not impress me, but finding a place in Rome where you can eat really well and at an even lower cost is difficult.
