La Varrone tavern is a small tavern that is located in Rome in Prati district, in via Varone. This place is not very visible also because it is hidden underground. The entrance is like a normal door, but then you enter and go down 8/10 steps into a rumpus room.
La run is totally family, you understand immediately from the faces of the members, very similar and from the movements, typical of the family. The menu is not huge, few and simple dishes of the Roman tradition. Several first courses, appetizers, pizza and fish. The vegetables are fresh and in season, I know because I took a vegetable pizza and they saw the vegetables of the current season, this is a point in their advantage.
Two pizzas and two supplì, a coke and a beer for the price of 27€. It is not very cheap since dinner was not one to lose your mind, but it is certainly an affordable price for the place we are in, Prati is certainly a very good neighborhood to stay and with several things to see, let's think about example at the Vatican Museums.
