With IlluminArte visiting Naples is low cost and unconventional

Naples it is a multifaceted and kaleidoscopic city so even for those like me who were born and raised in this city there are still completely unknown paths and monuments. The cultural association IlluminArte was born from a group of young people who, for their passion for art and love for Naples, have decided to study and share a series of different itineraries from those proposed by tourist guides.

Interviewed Amelia Elvetico he says “We set up this association in 2012 and we were only three: three people with different backgrounds but united by the desire to discover and share the unknown beauties of our region. We therefore thought of devising a series of unconventional itineraries and of different duration: from two hours, to half a day up to visits that extend for a couple of days. Our guides not only show monuments and buildings that have remained unknown to most, but also and above all itineraries based on popular beliefs and urban legends, itineraries in the places where films that have made the history of Italian cinema have been shot such as L'oro di Napoli di Vittorio De Sica"

At the moment the itineraries and initiatives proposed have been:
Mini-cruise from Naples along the Gulf of Sorrento with stops in Capri and Positano at a cost of € 25

Itinerary "Exploring Neapolis”: A route that starts from Via della Sapienza that ends in Via S. Sofia but which touches the church of Santa Maria Regina Coeli; the itinerary costs € 7 for non-members and € 5 for members.

Itinerary "Under the Lava della Collina”: A 2-hour journey between the Fontanelle Cemetery and the Church of Santa Teresa which will end near the Sanità bridge; the cost is between € 5 and € 7, depending on the membership.

"Hands in the dough in Montecorvo”: Not only a visit to discover the estate, but also a laboratory for making loaves; total cost € 55 for non-members and € 50 for members.

In addition to discounts that you have on the various itineraries, associating is convenient for many other reasons, as Amelia always explains to me: "Associating means not only promoting the progress of our initiative with an annual contribution of just € 10. Furthermore, through the membership it is possible to access a series of discounts with our partner clubs and theaters. Finally, through a special form, the associates themselves will direct our research path and the design of our new itineraries ".

At this point the question arises: what is cooking in sight for Christmas ?! “We intend to set out on a path in one of the Campania villages to discover the tradition of the living nativity scene, with some surprises that we don't want to reveal to you yet! "
