Staying at Baita Zeni Tirolerhof, in Pezze Altre in Trentino

Staying at Baita Zeni Tirolerhof, in Pezze Altre in Trentino

After a brief experience in Trentino, I have the impression that the valleys of this region are all full of magical and wonderful places to discover, experience and tell.

I was so lucky to stay for one night in Zeni hut Tiroler Hof at Pezze Altre, in the municipality of Transacqua. They come to pick us up however a Primiero Fair and from there the hut is three kilometers away. Thanks to the pickup of Bino Zeni, owner of the hut, we reached our destination after a narrow climb made up of pieces of asphalt and dirt road.

The Apt of S.Mart had described the hut as a corner of paradise and behold, they were absolutely right. As soon as you arrive the eye falls immediately on the structure, but its strong point is the panoramic terrace on the Primiero valley and on the plateau of Pale San Martino. As soon as we sit on the terrace, the silence and the wind of the valley welcome us, as well as three roe deer running less than twenty meters away. A fairytale place.

Our luck was also to arrive around six in the afternoon to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. Of course we had the opportunity to try the cuisine of Signora Alba, Bino's wife. All strictly homemade, from soup, the typical carne 'salada', the gnocchi of potatoes with Primiero cheese, cold cuts and strudel for dessert. As a digestive of course grappa thirty homemade. Woe betide that the food offered is not typical, the good name of Trentino would be affected.

The bedroom was pretty, with hand-made embroidery and all the necessary comforts, plus the window of the room overlooked the view of the Pale San Martino plateau. In short, we couldn't have asked for better. The hut offers a service of bed & breakfast and provides a cost that varies from 35 to 45 euros in high season, while as half board 55 euros each, but it is worth them all given the dinner that was served to us. Baita Zeni also works as a restaurant, so you can choose what to do. Personally I recommend it, especially if you are looking for a place to regenerate from city stress and where the cell phone does not pick up (if not in specific points).

It is also open in winter, from December to January only because, to sweep the snow off the road, Mr. Bino always and only thinks about it. Which is a guarantee.

In site of the hut all the details.
