    The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), or American Museum of Natural History in New York, is located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and is one of the largest natural history museums in the world, as well as being one of the main attractions of the city.

    It is not only one of the favorite places for children, but also for adults, especially after the hit film "A Night at the Museum". In the film, released in 2016, Ben Stiller discovers that during the night, animals and statues come to life creating a fun chaos.



    This museum, founded in 1869, is considered the best science museum in the world and its exhibitions trace the history of the planet and that of the different species that have inhabited it, including humans.

    The museum complex comprises 28 interconnected buildings housing 45 permanent exhibitions, as well as a planetarium and library. The different exhibitions are organized by continent, and there is also an exhibit for marine flora and fauna.

    The various collections of the museum house over 35 million specimens of plants, fossils, animals, rocks, minerals, meteorites and human remains. The museum receives over five million visits every year.

    In addition to visiting the museum itself, there activities to do, but not included in the standard ticket, such as: the planetarium, the Darwing Hall and temporary exhibitions.

    The address of the American Museum of Natural History is 79th Street West of Central Park, New York.
