The aperitif at Momart in Rome

Aperitif in Rome, yes but where? We tried the Momart and here is our review and why we recommend it. At the price of € 10,50 a buffet like a king.

In my last ride a Rome I happened to go to the Momart (Viale XXI Aprile n.19), a nice place 5 minutes walk from the Bologna metro. It is a very popular restaurant for both lunch and dinner, but which is often used by young people for an aperitif. In fact, there are many proposals in this spacious restaurant, which has many outdoor tables, sheltered by large umbrellas and plants, which allows you to unplug from chaotic Rome. The internal location for winter days is also very nice.

I have tried, as I told you, thebuffet aperitif "All you can eat" at the modest price of € 10,50: the price includes the buffet, the small drink of 0,20 or water of 0,50 and a coffee. The buffet is really rich and whimsical, able to satisfy all tastes: many cold salads, such as those of green beans and potatoes or chicken, but there is also the possibility of composing your own salad according to personal taste. The first courses are also good: like the most typical amatriciana, but also a seafood first course (with cod); between the latter instead Baked chicken with potatoes, homemade sausage, salmon and many side dishes (mozzarella, vegetables). The slices of pizza offered in the buffet are also inviting.

There is also a sweet finish: in my case there was an excellent one m but also a delicious one fregole tart, in short, nothing is really missing for a really affordable figure.

The service is very young, kind and really fast! But as already mentioned, the restaurant also offers many other menu alternatives: unique dishes, menu for the lunch break, but also the most classic a la carte menu, with average prices.

For the evening the place is also ideal for a drink with friends, for cheerful evenings with friends but also just for a good pizza.

Furthermore, the internal environment continuously hosts exhibitions by artists who use the place as a space for personal exhibitions, enriching and embellishing the walls of the room.

Finally, on Saturdays and Sundays the Momart is the ideal setting for a rich brunch (from 11.45 to 15.00) at a cost of € 18,00 with drink and coffee included: but in these cases, reservations are highly recommended.
