Apulian cuisine in Florence? From Moyé

Visiting Firenze with my foreign friends I made a little discovery. Experienced at lunch, Moyé it was an advisable experience. The Apulian restaurant it is located at the end of via del Parione, almost in via Tornabuoni, we are in the most chic (and expensive) heart of the city. The environment is all white, with pleasant furnishings and large French windows that can be opened for an outdoor effect.

The cuisine is Apulian and the menu consequently has a lot pasta (orecchiette), mozzarella and burrata, as well as vegetables cooked in various ways. For a lunch break I would recommend it because the bill is acceptable (about 10/12 euros with a plate and water) and it holds up well even with city bars where you can eat, good food and you can sit in peace . This restaurant is part of a chain with offices also in Milan and Chieti.

Also via del Parione is one of my favorite streets, with nice shops including The Bison, which produces beautiful bags. If you go to Moyé I also give you a suggestion for a visit: right nearby, in Piazza Santa Trinita in front of the column of Justice is the Church of Santa Trinita. The facade is from the end of the sixteenth century and does not reveal the interior, which instead is Gothic: if you enter you will be surprised. To the right of the altar is the Sassetti Chapel (a noble Florentine family) entirely frescoed by Domenico del Ghirlandaio, with beautiful scenes on the life of St. Francis. In the crowd scenes various famous figures of the Florence of the time are portrayed - from Poliziano to Lorenzo the Magnificent, from Lugi Pulci to Francesco Sassetti himself. The location of the frescoes is 400th century Florence, as can be recognized.
