Coffee and not just art at Mambo

Coffee and not just art at Mambo

Al MAMBO, the Museum of Modern Art of Bologna located in Via Don Minzoni 14, in the center of Bologna, we do not find only art, in fact this museum also has a really interesting bar / restaurant.

The coffee is called Ex-Coffee Oven and takes its name from the place where it is located, which is the same as the gallery, and is precisely the finely restored building of the Ex Forno del pane. With this it maintains a link in fact the concept behind the bar is hospitality. It is conceived in the name of simplicity as a living room where anyone can feel at ease.

Located next to the museum offers a easy but refined environment, modern and design. The furniture is all about recycling and has an informal flavor with objects and furniture from antique markets combined with more recent design highlights.

The venue is ideal for one lunch break, from 12:30 to 15:00, based on simple, light but tasty dishes, but also for a breakfast or afternoon break between brioches and “homemade” cakes. A curiosity: the Caffè provides a large selection of magazines and newspapers, some of which you can even take away.

Plus this bar is a very popular meeting point for an aperitif. Surely the highlight are the excellent cocktails and a healthy and well-stocked buffet. More or less from 19:00 to 22:00 you can find pizza, raw vegetables, cooked or tempura, various appetizers, cous cous and pasta. Then if you like the genre, on Sundays they also organize Brunch from 12:30 to 15:00.

The Ex-Forno Caffè is open from Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays) from 11:30 to 02:00. A super pleasant space at all hours of the day!
