The numerous courtyards of the Kulturbrauerei, a cultural center housed in the former Schultheiss brewery, provide an evocative setting for this large market with free admission, named after the feast of Saint Lucia, celebrated on 13 December in Scandinavian countries. The market is in fact focused on Scandinavian traditions: you can hear the choir singing Swedish Christmas carols and traditional songs from all Scandinavian countries and warm yourself around the fire of the large candle-stump, typically Swedish.

New this year is the "Green Market", the only Christmas market where you can find strictly vegetarian and vegan products, located in the modern, charismatic Glashaus of the Arena, a dance hall and concert hall that also hosts large private events in the its large location on the banks of the Spree.
