The land ofHungary it is full of spas. Some are as famous as the monumentals Gellért Baths of the capital, with a Liberty atmosphere. But if you travel to Hungary, my advice is to always have a bathing suit and a towel in your bag, because you may run into special places.

For example, if you are out and about in the southern part of the country, take a trip around Lake Balaton to Hèviz. The town is completely dedicated to thermalism and wellness, with hotels, pensions and rooms for every budget. The core of the city is the historic and unique spa establishment. In fact, in Hèviz there is a large lake of natural thermal water, rounded and surrounded by wooden buildings - which are part of the factory - with characteristic pointed roofs.

The water gushes hot and the temperature fluctuates from 25 degrees in winter ai 38 in the summer. You can immerse yourself in the external lake or in the internal tank. The lake has the characteristic of having a peat bottom, which is quite unusual, the black color is not associated with the water. Furthermore, this dark water is warm, enveloping and tends to float very little. However, it does very well: the properties of water are numerous, in fact it contains carbon dioxide, sulfur, calcium, magnesium, and is also slightly radioactive.

The spa also provides the opportunity to do mud and other treatments. It is very popular with people of all ages, the air is cheerful and popular. It is open from 9 to 18, with differentiated tickets for a few hours or for the whole day.
