Weekend between Capri, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast: useful tips for your trip on places to visit, hotels and tips to save
My fiance and I booked about a couple of months before ours return flight Milan-Naples with a low cost company from the page of OFFERS FLIGHTS AND HOLIDAYS by prepaid credit card.
We spent very little on tickets and had a great time.
Wake up very early because at 07.00 in the morning our flight from Malpensa to Naples left (about 1 hour and 15 minutes of flight).
We left the car at the Terminal 2 car park. We arrive at Naples airport on time and by bus (ALIBUS shuttle service that connects the airport with P.za Garibaldi railway station in about 15 minutes and the Beverello Pier where there is boarding for Capri in 20 minutes) we reach our 4-star hotel (Starhotels Terminus) total cost for 1 night in a double room including breakfast € 1.Holidays in Capri The Queen of the Flegrean Islands
Even the hotel always booked via the internet and chosen on the basis of its location, convenient for travel by public transport because it is located in P.za Garibaldi in front of the train station, the starting point for visiting the coast.
After depositing the luggage in the room, we take the train and go immediately to visit them archaeological excavations of Pompeii and subsequently also those of Herculaneum.
For dinner a very good Neapolitan pizza.
2 ° Day
Today calmly, after having breakfast, we took the bus from the station to the molo Beverello and we embarked onhydrofoil per Capri.
(Euro 14,00 per person each way and the journey takes about 50 minutes).
On the website www.capri.it you can find all the information on this beautiful island and how you can organize your stay.
The originality of the place struck us immediately and we spent the whole day walking around the island taking lots of photos.
You can make several excursions: the walk to theNatural Arch, spectacular limestone formation overlooking the east coast and from here continue towards caves of Matromania (baths of the emperor) e Punta Masulla with the fabulous view on Villa Malaparte (summer residence of Emperor Tiberius).
Walking on Via Pizzolungo here is the Tragara viewpoint with the unmistakable panorama on stacks, three limestone rocks, one of which is connected by a thin isthmus to the coast.
Il Belvedere of S. Maria del Soccorso, with a view of the gulfs of Naples and Salerno and towards Marina Piccola is located the rock of the Sirens.
Anacapri: an even smaller and more elegant village than Capri, where you can only reach the Blue Grotto.
All beautiful but also very expensive and be prepared to walk a lot.
The weather is clearly improving, sunny even if a little cool towards the late afternoon.
As far as the overnight stay we have chosen Anacapri to stay a little quieter but we do not feel like recommending our hotel because it was quite out of the way and we lost a lot of time between buses and walks to reach it, we believe it is better to stay a little more central to be more comfortable if you spend only a few days and moreover in low season.
Visiting Naples tips
Price: Anacapri Restaurant Pizzeria Le Arcate we ate everything based on fish and we had a great time.
3 ° Day
Gorgeous sunny day. We still spent the whole morning in Capri wandering through its characteristic alleys and after lunch we took the ferry back to Positano, where we booked atEden roc For a night.
It goes without saying that Positano is a marvel, a real living nativity scene. We had dinner in a magnificent restaurant overlooking the sea (restaurant da Costantino), delicious.
4 ° Day
Finally we can fully enjoy the many shops in Positano, its alleys, its colors, its magic. We take lots of photos, have lunch by the sea, with a delicious sandwich with caprese.
We take the ferry in the afternoon to Naples and from the pier we head directly to the airport by bus. The return to Milan was perfect… but this weekend ended too soon.
