    Shanghai Museum

During my trip to Shanghai, I had the pleasure of visiting it Shanghai Museum, Chinese Ancient Art Museum which is located at number 201 of Renmin Avenue, in People's Square, the most central square in the city, in the Huangpu district.

It takes about three hours to make a nice tour of the galleries, also depending on whether or not there are special and temporary exhibitions. The museum, which from the outside is deliberately reminiscent of a large temple, is divided into four floors where they are exhibited: bronzes, ceramics, sculptures, coins, paintings, drawings, original clothes, jade objects, Chinese calligraphy, furniture, minor arts and temporary exhibitions. I usually don't like ceramics (it's the museum sections I tend to skip) but i vases from the Ming era they literally leave speechless and with them also the impressive sculptures.

It is possible to freely take photos inside the museum which is open all year round, from Monday to Sunday, from 0:9 to 00:17. Pay attention to your arrival time because from 00:16 they no longer allow access to visitors. It is possible that they ask you for an identity document and / or passport, so bring it with you. And, curiosity, upon entering you will have to have your bags checked and, if you get drinks, they will ask you to taste them in front of their eyes to prove that they are not poisons, explosives, etc.

And, think a little, access is free (except on some very rare occasions and special events), you don't pay any tickets to see all of these beautiful works of art. Great example of promoting culture!
