Scotland by bus, hiking with Timberbush tours

Scotland by bus, hiking with Timberbush tours

As promised, here is a post about the tour I did during my vacation in Scotland last year. My choice fell on Timberbush tour of which I had already read very positive reviews on the internet: the decision turned out to be very apt, ours itinerario (Loch Ness, Glencoe & The Highlands) started from Glasgow to let us experience in one day a taste of the real and most typical Scotland. The stages were Loch Lomond - Glencoe - Fort William - Fort Augustus - Urquhart Castle - Pitlochry, where we have decided to stop for the night.

The explanations of our guide and driver, Colin, were in English, so you need to know at least a little of the language to be able to appreciate them and be able to go beyond the beautiful scenery that can be admired from the windows during the long journey. The tappe were short but perfect to enjoy the view, have a snack or take advantage of the proposals to visit theUrquhart castle or take the mini cruise on the legendary Loch Ness.

Visiting the company's website you can see that the choices are so many: more or less long itineraries (1, 2 or 3 days) offer the opportunity to visit all of Scotland following many routes. Prices are obviously the most varied, starting with from around £ 30 (with small discounts for students, teens and over 60s), however, they do not include extra excursions and overnight stays. You can book before leaving or on site and there is the possibility to choose whether to leave from Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Personally I found myself really well: the guide was nice and helpful, everything went in the best way, so even with only one day available it's a great way to get an idea of what this magnificent region is like.
