    The choice of the hotel
Anyone who has already been to London knows that hotels in the center they are not cheap. And the cheap ones don't seem to have such a good relationship with cleanliness. From here a consideration: London has a beautiful and very large metro network (Tube) that arrives everywhere with a fair frequency. To shoot it there are even very comfortable apps for iPhone that locate you and organize your journey with stops, exchanges and times. So we chose to stay in a hotel a little on the outskirts (but always within the 2nd ring of the metro) that had prices in line with ours. low cost philosophy.

Il Ramada Encore it is in 4 minutes walk from North Acton tube station, which is also 10 minutes from the City center. It is a nice hotel in 4 stars, clean, large rooms, abundant breakfast included (which is rare for a 4 star in London). Nearby there is a supermarket (Tesco Express), open until late at night (until 23pm I think). Very useful for those who don't want to spend 4 euros for a bottle of water in the room :))

There is also a fusion restaurant inside, but I would overlook this, having tried it I can say that it is not too imaginative and not so low cost. And then off around underground with theOyster Card. Since - as we said - with metro and bus you can also discover the more hidden corners of London, upon arrival we immediately purchased the Oyster Card, which is a rechargeable magnetic card (also via internet) from the cost of £ 5 which can be found in all metro ticket offices. We loaded the Oyster card for 7 days.

If you are staying for 3 to 5 days I recommend you save the 5 pounds and buy the Travel Card, a non-rechargeable ticket valid for 3 or 5 days. Ordinary tickets for single metro and bus rides are not exactly cheap in the city, so buying one of the two season tickets is highly recommended if you plan to move, save some money to invest in purchases.
