San Antonio River Walk: what to see, what to do and how to get there

Towards the end of April it takes place PARTY, the main event of the city of San Antonio. During this 10-day annual festival, there are parades of beautiful floats on the river, all decorated.



Opening days and times

A walk along this stretch of the river is possible 365 days a year.


The stretch from Mulberry to Eagleland Plaza is open 24 hours a day, while the section that passes through Brackenridge Park, in the north of the city, is open from 05:00 to 23:00.


For the visit it takes approx from 3 to 6 hours. However, we do not recommend walking at night and in less frequented areas.

How to reach us

It is a must when visiting the city and it is very easy to get to the River Walk.

It extends from the mission area of ​​San Antonio, through the center and to the main museums of the city.

The River Walk begins approximately 4 miles north of the city center, where E. Hildbrand Ave crosses the river and ends in the south of the city near Mission Espada.
