According to legend, children were baptized in the waters of the Leno stream, whose death was caused by a dragon who lived in that area but when San Colombano arrived in Trambileno, he killed the dragon.

THEHermitage of San Colombano it can be reached thanks to the Strada Statale 46 which descends south from Rovereto, after which, when you reach a small bridge, you have to follow the signs that lead to the San Colombano power station and, in fact, to the hermitage.



After having parked the car in a comfortable, albeit small area that can also accommodate campers, you have to take a path that goes straight to the bridge on Torrente Leno di Vallarsa and once you pass the entrance gate you have to walk the suggestive staircase consisting of 102 steps. carved into the rock that lead toHermitage of San Colombano.


We recommend starting the visit to the Hermitage of San Colombano from the chapel where it is still possible to admire the remains of frescoes.
