At MArt Food and Design - Food Project. The shape of taste

For a month now, precisely from last February 9, 2013, it was inaugurated at the Mart of Rovereto (TN), the exhibition "Food Project. The shape of taste”, Dedicated to the relationship and contrasts between design and nutrition. The Mart is the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rovereto and Trento and is located precisely in the center of Rovereto in Corso Bettini 43.

    L. Fuerbach used to say that we are what we eat. This exhibition wanted to take him at his word and food, you know, also passes through our eyes.

The exhibition will stage the food, which has always been a primary source of inspiration for the Design. The project was curated by Beppe Finessi and is divided into thematic areas in order to observe how often food has bent to shape and image. A special section of the exhibition is then dedicated to those objects in the design sector that have been created and made real using materials from the food and nutrition sector, such as Barbara Uderzo's chocolate jewels.

The inauguration on February 8 saw a series of eurythmic dance shows but also a cooking show thanks to chef Daniel Facen. This and many other events have characterized and will characterize the exhibition. The calendar can be consulted on the website dedicated to the project. Furthermore, until May 22nd, there will also be a full program of “Mart Cooking”, evenings dedicated to show-cooking set in the museum's exhibition rooms. Among the countless special guests there will also be chefs such as Gualtiero Marchesi, Bruno Barbieri, Carlo Cracco and Massimo Bottura, and designers such as Achille Castiglioni, Lorezo Damiani and Philippe Starck.

Hurry up because the “Progetto Cibo” exhibition will remain in Rovereto only until June 2 2013.

It is possible to access the event as well as the rest of the museum with a single ticket, full at a cost of € 11 and reduced to € 7.
