The most important shopping streets of Seville are located in the El Centro district: in Sierpe, Cuna, Velazquez and Tetuan streets there are both shops of major international brands and local crafts. Seville is known for its thriving craft activities, such as the textile school, the production of wicker and accessories for flamenco and in all the shops you can buy wonderful shawls, laces, mantillas, fans and the Seville dancers, inevitable souvenirs.


Even more Seville is famous all over the world for being the city of ceramic tile: decorated plates, amphorae and very precious glasses can be bought in the historic craft shops of the tourist Barrio de Santa Cruz or in the ceramic production workshops of the Triana district in Calle Alfareria and Calle Antillano Campos.


Other streets ideal for a stroll and for shopping are Calle Mateos Gago, Plaza de los Venerablos, Calle Amor de Dios, Calle Doctor Letamendi and Calle de la Ferìa in the Macarena district, while in Plaza de la Magdalena and Plaza del Dunque de la Victoria is the most popular shopping center El Corte Ingles

Shop opening hours

Usually, the small local shops are open from 10.00 to 13.30 and from 17.00 to 20.30, while the shopping centers and large international brand stores are open all day until 21.00.


The end of season sales

Generally in Seville, as in all of Spain, the winter sales begin in the second week of January and end at the end of February. Summer sales start in July and end at the end of August.
