We left Rome on January 12, and our first stop was Rio de Janeiro, a city that we loved right from the start.
Paraty Brasile
After a few days in Rio, we left for Paraty (green coast), a town located south of Rio de Janeiro (you can reach Paraty by bus (34 reais = 10 euros one way) and in about 4 hours of travel).
Here I stayed at the Pousada da Magnus (90 reais = 28 euros with breakfast), which was located near the old town and the bus station.
Interesting is the walk in the characteristic and interesting historical center and above all the numerous beaches around the city.
Especially beautiful beaches di Sao Goncalo e Pelado Island, excellent cuisine, especially fish.
We recommend taking a boat ride (20 reais = 6 euros) and visiting the islets.
Recife Brazil
After staying for a few days a Paraty we returned to Rio to fly to Recife, Pernambuco (located in the north east of brazil) nicknamed the venice of Brazil, because it rises on the water and is full of bridges.
In Recife we stayed at the Best Western Manibu Hotel Recife (180 reais = about 40 euros with breakfast), comfortable and located near the sea where the most beautiful beaches and interesting places in the city.
A Recife we visited the old town, where elegant old buildings meet, many of which have been restored and transformed into bars, restaurants and cultural centers and where the torre malakoff which in the past was an observatory while today it is the seat of exhibitions.
Around Recife we visited the colonial city of Olinda (6 km north of Recife), splendid seaside resort of Maracaipe (for those who love surfing) e Port of Chickens (60km south of recife) which has the most beautiful and famous beaches around the Pernambuco, where the water is warm and clear and most of the beaches are sheltered by a barrier of rocks.
Here we stayed at the suite properties di maria seline (60 reais = 18 euros with breakfast), a family atmosphere, very welcoming and the hostess very nice, cheerful and good company as well as being a beautiful woman.
João Pessoa Brasile
After our trip to Pernambuco we left Recife by bus for João Pessoa (Paraiba), 120 from recife and by bus of the company progress (15 reais = 4, 50 euros).
We were impressed by this city, very welcoming and quiet.
Here we stayed at the inn beach sea (70 reais = 20 euros with breakfast) and met the owner who is a Neapolitan transplanted for some years in this enchanting place.

After our vacation in the north east, we returned to Rio de Janeiro.
Here, knowing that we would spend the rest of our spectacular holiday (another 20 days), we decided to rent an already furnished apartment in Copacabana.
Campos do Jordao Brasile
After about 10 days of staying in Rio, we took the bus (the trip takes about 7 hours) from Rio and went to Campos do Jordan (state of Sao Paulo), located at 1700 meters above sea level, Campos do Jordao called the Swiss of Brazil, hides in the Serra da mantiqueira, and is a mountain resort much loved by the citizens of St. Paul for the colder climate, it is also an ideal place to devote oneself to the search for the last virgin pine forests.
Here we stayed in a chalet of the inn recanto santo benedito and received an excellent family welcome from the owner Manoel, a really kind and exquisite person.
Interesting and not to be missed is the visit to forest garden (6 reais = about 2 euros), which houses the largest pine reserve in the state and offers the possibility of long walks in nature and also enjoying the spectacle of splendid waterfalls (it is also advisable to take the chairlift that leads to the top of the morro do elephant, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city).
After a few days in Campos de Jordao we went to visit St. Paul e Itaquaquecetuba and later returned to Rio de Janeiro for the carnival.
Don't imagine the excitement and adrenaline when we walked into the sambodromo.
Truly wonderful and unforgettable, an experience that we will certainly repeat next year.
On March 1st, alas, after almost 2 months of vacation and Brazil, our trip came to an end and so we embarked for Spain full of memories, emotions, wonderful and unforgettable experiences.
