Agriturismo La Bossolasca, typical Langhe cuisine

The last leg of the blog tour between Langhe and Roero with Italy Different was at La Bossolasca farmhouse di Santo Stefano Belbo where we were able to taste various (excellent) traditional local dishes.

The facility is a nice one renovated farmhouse and managed by the Barbero family, customers are welcomed in a large room with simple and rustic furnishings that immediately lead to immerse themselves in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

La kitchen it is absolutely the typical Piedmontese one and in particular of the LangheFurthermore, the freshness and genuineness factor of the proposed ingredients, chosen on the basis of seasonality, is fundamental. Chef and owner Maurizio Barbero proposes a simple menu but with rich and delicious dishes, from which we were able to try some cold cuts, Vitello tonnato and meat beaten with a knife, the ravioli del "plin" as a first course and in conclusion a Moscato zabajone (prepared with great skill under our eyes) with hazelnut cake.

The restaurant offers a tasting menu a 30€ which includes a selection of 4 appetizers, a first, a second and a dessert, drinks not included. The à la carte menu, on the other hand, includes dishes for all tastes and pockets: appetizers between € 6 and € 8, first courses at € 7 and € 8, main courses from € 10 to € 15, while desserts at € 4.

Do not overlook the possibility of staying inside the farm with rooms starting from 50 € for single up to quadruple for 110 € with breakfast included.

La Bossolasca is also very close to a point of great cultural interest: the house of Cesare Pavese it is just a few steps away, this is one of the stages of the tour in the Pavia places organized by Foundation which is based in the center of the country.
