Low cost international trains

    Low cost international trains

I've been seeing on the site for a long time Trenitalia promotions on international travel which, however, have always seemed very obscure to me: only recently have I managed to deal with them, so it seemed an excellent idea to give a brief account of the most interesting ones. In view of summer they could be an alternative solution to air travel, which in these periods prove to be anything but low cost, moreover with trains you can arrive directly in the city center and save time traveling at night.

By booking now you can still find several seats on the trains Artesia for Paris Bercy departing from Milan (or from many other stations, especially in northern Italy) for € 35 in 6 berths or for € 45 in 4 berths, from the end of July onwards. With the same train you can also stop in Dijon.

The thing you need to know is that during the booking on the Trenitalia website in the "Select the price" section you will have to open the drop down menu and choose SMART PRICE (if not, it is because the chosen date is too close.), alternatively the rate is also very good MOOVE (55 € / sleeper for 6 & 65 € sleeper for 4).

The trains Euronight Allegro they can lead to Vienna Meidling station instead. The choice of seats and prices is varied: starting from € 29 per seat (not available on all trains.), And then moving on to 6 and 4 berths, respectively at € 49 and € 59.

Also in this case you will have to select SMART price and the type of seat you prefer in the menu below. Venice is also the perfect starting point to head towards theEastern Europe: Ljubljana and Zagreb can be reached in four and seven hours respectively. For both routes, SMART tickets are available for € 15 for seats or € 29 for 6 berths.

To these goals could also be added Barcelona, Belgrade e Budapest which I preferred not to report for the travel times, I dare say, biblical (we would talk about 14 hours by train).
