Monreale from Palermo can be reached by taking the bus 389 or the AST bus da Independence Square, behind Palazzo dei Normanni. Il Monreale Cathedral it is a thirteenth-century church, from the outside apparently a church like any other, but once you enter you will discover a wonder before your eyes.
