The Milan bull of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

If you have already been to Milan surely you have seen the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, but if you have never been there, well, let me say that you should see it. The Gallery was designed by the architect Giuseppe Mengoni and built starting from 1865 and two years later the Gallery was inaugurated even if not completely finished.

Giuseppe Mengoni, died just falling from the dome during the Galleria in 1877 and even if it was probably an accident, many thought it was instead the will of the creator, a suicide due to the criticisms expressed by many parties and the disappointment for the failure presence of the king at the inauguration.

History aside, let's move on to the beliefs. There tradition states that rotate on oneself 3 times standing with the heel of the right foot on the bull's genitals brings luck and honestly I don't know whether to believe it or not. If you go inside the Gallery you will see that there are many who believe it…. There is a long queue every day.
