    Tampa guide

    Located on the west coast of Florida, on the shores of Tampa Bay, the city is a major tourist destination with many attractions, places to visit and things to do. Tampa has over 300 inhabitants and it is the third most populated city in Florida.



    Nicknamed "the city of entertainment", today Tampa is considered one of the best vacation destinations in the United States. There are hundreds of skyscrapers, restaurants and hotel complexes.

    Tampa is a great place too for a family vacation. It offers amusement parks, water parks and zoos to spend wonderful days outdoors. But also interesting museums, beautiful shopping malls and good restaurants. In addition, extensive and well-equipped beaches to enjoy the sun of Florida all the year.

    The most famous monument in Tampa is the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI). This museum has over 450 exhibits and interactive exhibits, useful for understanding science with experiments and hands-on experiences.

    Il Tampa Museum of Art is dedicated to travelers who love art and culture. The museum regularly hosts interesting exhibits and lectures, as well as educational activities for the little ones.

    Each year the city hosts many interesting events and festivals. The main event is the festival Gasparilla which takes place in the second half of January. The events, demonstrations, concerts and festivals take place regularly throughout the year.

    Where to eat

    Tampa delivers more than a thousand restaurants to its visitors. There isn't a particular area that offers better restaurants than the others. If you are looking for good restaurants, the best area is the one overlooking the bay, while for typical restaurants the central area is to be preferred. If you are looking for an economic solution, fast food restaurants are the best solution, present throughout the city, even in the peripheral areas.


    Accomodation 

    As for where to eat, there is no better area for sleeping. It is definitely advisable the central area or the one overlooking the bay, if you want to avoid taking the car or public transport to go out at night.

    The climate

    The climate of Tampa like that of all of Florida is subtropical. Temperatures are mild or warm throughout the year and normally range from 18 to 35 ° C. In summer the humidity is high with frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Although the probability is low, the period of Hurricanes runs from early June to late November.

    When to go

    The best time to visit Tampa and all of Florida goes from December to May. In this period the temperatures are not very high. There are also no high rates for humidity. Therefore, winter and spring remain the best seasons to visit these beautiful areas.


    How to reach us

    There are no direct flights from Spain. You can reach Tampa by plane only with flights that include at least one stopover. Most of the time Tampa is one of the stops on a Florida tour, which starts in Miami with a rental car and includes Orlando as well as Tampa.
