The Welsh culinary tradition is very similar to the English one: Lamb meat; fish (in particular near the coast); leek (national vegetable) and much more. The "Goat Major" is a famous traditional pub, which owes its name to the mascot of the 41st Royal Regiment of Wales. It offers a variety of local dishes and every Thursday organizes an event called "Welsh Night", perfect for immersing yourself in the local way of life.

For a great breakfast I recommend "Elmers Take a Break Cafe", their menu includes one traditional English breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, toast with butter and much more, in a welcoming and familiar place.

6. From Mara and Minuet

For a taste of Italian cuisine abroad “Da Mara” and “Minuet” are perfect.

The "Pettigrew Tea rooms" is the ideal place to drink some excellent English tea in a charming logo. Located in the south entrance of “Bute Park”, it offers many varieties of tea, locally roasted coffee and drinks for all tastes; but not only: sandwiches, focaccias and cakes prepared by the staff.

For fish lovers "The Hold Custom House" and "The Beech Tree" are among the most interesting proposals in town, with excellent fresh fish accompanied by a wide range of wines.
