What to do in Vallarsa, paths to follow in contact with nature

Thanks to the tour To sow the good plant, I discovered the beauty of a territory completely unknown to me, the Vallarsa. In reality this is the name of a municipality which, with all its hamlets, occupies a vast area along the valley formed by the Leno stream.

On the occasion of the event organized by Aboca we traveled two paths discovering spontaneous medicinal plants: the first, of medium altitude, began at the junction for Speccheri (SS 46 del Pasubio - SP di Camposilvano) and led us to cross woods and pastures up to Poiani lake, an enchanting body of water where you can relax in the shade of the plants that surround it.

Il second path, more demanding and long, has led us to a higher altitude: the departure was from refreshment MB, in the locality of Malga Fratte, and after 3 km of woods, we arrived on the pastures of Malga Boffetal and Malga Prà di Mezzo. The goal is worth all the effort of the walk: one fantastic view of the Little Dolomites, a sandwich with mountain cheese and free grazing cows.

A really beautiful place, which I would have liked to see in more detail is the Ethnographic Museum: we were there only on the occasion of a phytotherapy lesson, but it is a must visit for those who are in this area. Here there are many objects that document the history of the traditions, culture and life of these territories, all inserted in an environment completely rebuilt with great care.
