VolainBus: airport shuttle - Florence station

Florence airport, despite being a small airport, it experienced strong growth in the summer of 2013 thanks to collaborations with numerous low cost airlines such as eg. Vueling airline which has introduced new direct flights from Florence to London Heathrow, Berlin, Copenhagen and Hamburg.

To reach the Florence “Amerigo Vespucci” airport from "Santa Maria Novella" railway station and vice versa, there is a “Volainbus” coach company that takes you from the airport to the station and back every 30 minutes.
The ticket price is 6 euros each way (12 euros total) and you can buy it at the tobacconists and newsstands at the station or airport or directly from the coach driver. My advice is to buy the return ticket immediately because you will have a discount of 2 euros on the total price, to pay 10 euros instead of 12. The journey takes about 20-25 minutes.

If you are at the train station, the Pullmann stop is in via Luigi Alamanni, the road that runs alongside the station to the right of the main exit; you will see a white sign with "Terminal Airport". If, on the other hand, you are at the airport and need to go to the station, the stop is always to the right of the main exit.

Service VolainBus it is excellent as it not only allows you to quickly reach the airport or the station but inside each bus there is the service of free wi-fi!
