The discovery of the Caves

They were discovered in 1971 by a group of boys aged between 16 and 18. They were part of the CAI of Ancona. Curious how all the boys of that age found a cavity and decided to explore it. Walking with great caution, illuminated by the dim light of their lamps, they reached what is now called "Thrill balcony". And actually seeing it live you understand the reason for this name. Seeing their knowledge they stopped and threw a coin to understand how deep the cavity could be. When this landed, they realized the grandeur of the discovery. From that moment they began the exploration of this beautiful underground world.
