Portoroz

Portorož is one of the most famous and popular seaside resorts in Slovenia, both in summer and in winter. Even when the weather is not quite seaside, Portoroz offers entertainment, casinos and spa for a wellness stay.

Very close to the Italian border, it is usually the first stop for those embarking on a tour of Slovenia by car.

Not far from Portorož there are the salt flats of Piran, which can be visited. Also not to be missed is the small but fascinating center of Piran, with its cathedral that dominates the seaside town from a hill.

Postumia caves

One of the most visited attractions in Slovenia for centuries.

Postojna Cave are one of the most important examples in the world of karst phenomena. And you will notice it as you go underground among its galleries, full of stalactites, stalagmites, columns and other bizarre shapes created by nature over thousands of years.

To access the caves you initially take a train and then proceed on foot, with the explanation of a guide.

In the vicinity of the Postojna cave, there is also the Predjama Castle. Its position, almost poised on the rocky wall, makes it truly unique.

Triglav national park

One of the most incredible green lungs in Slovenia is the Triglav National Park. A luxuriant nature, high peaks, alpine landscapes and the very blue Soca river which descends in steep waterfalls.

It is the only national park in the country and owes its name to highest peak in Slovenia, Mount Triglav.

The park is perfect for outdoor sports such as rafting, kayaking, trekking or even just for regenerating walks.

Gorges of Tolmin

Breathtakingly beautiful, the Tolmin gorges represent the lowest and southernmost point of the Triglav National Park.

Between caves and thermal springs, the water resurfaces in various points of the earth, creating a suggestive and magical landscape made of wild gorges and faults.

Ljubljana

The capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, is one of the must-see stops on a tour of Slovenia by car. You will understand this as soon as you set foot in its historic center.

The city, crossed by the Ljubljanica River, is lively and elegant. The pointed houses, the colorful buildings, the boats that cross the river: all elements that contribute to making Ljubljana a beautiful European city.

Lake Bled

The area plus romance of Slovenia in my opinion, that of Lake Bled. The town of Bled, bathed by the lake of the same name, is located in the north west of Slovenia.

A magical place that seems straight out of a fairy tale.

Before your eyes will appear the lake, crossed by typical colored boats, the church in the middle of it and the castle that watches over the city from above.
