This morning the news came that the Museo Van Gogh will close from 29 September 2012 to 25 April 2013. The beautiful museum, a destination for many tourists every year in Amsterdam, will close for a renovation. From 29 to host 75 works in the Museum will be theHermitage of Amsterdam and to be precise, the Keizersvleugel wing.
About 75 paintings, a selection of letters, sketches on paper and various objects that will be exhibited will allow the visitor to follow step by step the path of the artist Vincent Van Gogh towards his artistic maturity. Many of Van Gogh's best known works including Sunflowers, Branches of Almond Blossom, The Potato Eaters e The Yellow House, will be presented in a surprising combination of earlier and more recent works.

The best of the Hermitage in one single structureoffers a unique overview of the most important pictorial scene of the XNUMXth century. The Hermitage is located in Amstel 51 and is open from 10 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon with closing on 25 December and 30 April. The entrance ticket for adults is 15 €, with I amsterdam city card admission is free.
