The Fiordo di Furore, a UNESCO heritage site on the Amalfi coast

The Fiordo di Furore, a UNESCO heritage site on the Amalfi coast

Dream about the Norway? Do you dream of Norwegian fjords but your budget is not enough to fly there? Don't worry, I'll take care of comforting you. Indeed, it will console you fury, a small village on the beautiful Amalfi coast. More than a village, perhaps a village. Nine hundred souls in all. Heritage of UNESCO, included in the list of the Club dei most beautiful villages in Italy.

Cute because it is artistic, in the true sense of the word. Paintings on the walls of the houses and along the streets will welcome and surprise you. The best part of this resort though is the fiord. The sea creeps into the mountain, forms a small bay, a micro environment that seems to come out of a storybook, with fishermen's boats and a small fishing village where they lived, for a period, Roberto Rossellini and Anna Magnani and which now houses a museum dedicated to them. The beach slides into the sea and the mountain rocks plunge into the sea water. Mountains all around and the Schiano stream, coming from Agerola, which made its way between the Lattari Mountains, finally flows into the sea.

You can get to this heavenly oasis in two ways. Or, in comfort, by car along the highway Amalfi-Positano or, if you like trekking and excursions, you can venture along the "path of the mad bats" which, from Conca dei Marini, along the mills, the mill-paper mill and an old paper mill, will lead you to the fjord.
What are you still doing sitting there? Come on, pack your backpack and go!
