The Christmas markets of Sant'Anna di Alfaedo to visit the Veja Bridge

Sunday 15 December 2013 the streets of the hamlet of Ronconi di Sant'Anna d'Alfaedo will be populated by Christmas markets. But why, among so many Christmas markets, choose the one in a small village in the mountain community of Lessinia?

Because it is a great excuse to visit an unusual and fascinating place nearby: the Veja Bridge. This is not only an important one prehistoric site but it is also the largest natural bridge in Europe, created by the collapse of some karst caves. A fascinating sight that had also struck in its time Dante Alighieri who, it is said, was inspired by this landscape, to describe the evil of hell. The possibility of being able to admire this majestic natural arch dusted by snow it is an excellent excuse to make a stop in Sant'Anna.

From 10.00 to 18.00, the banquets will always be open and in the evening they will be replaced by food stands. In the features wooden houses the typical products of Lessinia will be exhibited. There will also be the workshops of the artisans, with their sculptures in wood, stone or other materials. The program includes the representation of Living Nativity, the presence of a choir who will accompany the visit and the Santa Claus in a carriage who will give the children a small sweet gift.
