Travel is an ever-present element in one's mind Surfer. When you start to master the board, you usually look for the best destination for your first surf trip. In this post we face a journey on Spanish coasts.
Obviously, as I advised in the previous article on surf schools in Morocco, my advice is always to contact a local, preferably a surf school, before tackling new spots and new waves. Taking a few lessons can only do us good.
We start from Mediterranean Spain, then from coast of Catalonia.
On the beaches of the province of Girona we find the Escola de Surf Empordà and the Nautical School of Capgirell. TO Barcelona instead we can Escola Catalana de Surf (official Billabong) or one of the three Pukas Surf Eskola, where you can try the boards of the well-known brand.
Going down to the Valencian Community, in the area of the capital Valencia you can contact the Mediterranean Surf School, the Las Arenas surf school or the Escuela Surf Valencia.
Around Alicante there are the Campello Surf Camp, the Aloha Sport school and the Parres Water Sport nautical center.
Le coasts of Murcia host the Torrevieja Surf and Bahia Surf schools in Puerto de Mazarron.
In 'Mediterranean Andalusia, in the area of Malaga we find two locations of the Freedom Kite School (they also have one in Tarifa) and the Termiko Waterman ProCenter. The NaluSur school is present in both a Marbella than on the ocean coast of Tarifa.

Speaking of travel to a surfer, it is not difficult to discover his desire to know the ocean. Without necessarily moving to paradises like Hawaii, Australia or Polynesia, Spain also has an excellent offer of ocean beaches with waves for all levels.
One of the best known destinations is certainly the Somo Beach, a large expanse of sand
which is located a few kilometers from Santander. Here you can contact the Koa Escuela de Surf, the Escuela Cantabra de Surf or the Loredo Surf School. There is also a surf school in the city of Santander, the Escuela de Surf Sardinero, which takes its name from the beach that hosts it.
Moving towards Bilbao you can stop near Santona, where the Surf Schools Watsay and Berria are based, or in Noja where we find the Escuela de Surf Ris. Another hot area for surfing is that of San Vincente de la Barquera, where the Escuela de Surf Buena Onda and the Oyambre Surf team operate, on the beach of the same name.
Visiting the coasts of Asturias, the most popular area for surfers is the one near Avilés, between Salinas and San Juan de la Arena. Here Rompiente Norte, Baluverxa, Lucas Garcia and Escuela Marejada are ready to give you all the tips you need.
In Galicia the spots are divided into the three provinces that overlook the ocean. In the province of Lugo we find the Holaola and the Sensacion Surf.
The province of La Coruna it is the one with the most cost. Here we can find the Art Surf Camp in Razo, the Abel Lago Water Sport in Muros and the Grip Surf School in Corrubedo.
Getting married towards the Portugal you arrive in the province of Pontevedra. In Patos Beach you will find the Txoko Surf Club Schola, the Point Break and one of the Prado Surf offices (the others are on the beaches of A Lanzada and A Coruna).

If your intentions are to move for a trip at Canaries I leave you some indications for the surf schools present on the four main islands. TO Lanzarote you can contact Kaboti Surf or Surf School Lanzarote. TO Fuerteventura there are the Italian guys from One More Wave, the locals from WaterSport and the Quiksilver Surf School. In Las Palmas there is the Brisa School while in Tenerife the contacts could be the Secret Surf School, the Red Rock Surf and the Tenerife Surf School.
When it comes to surf trip then we cannot fail to name two institutions, with camps present all over the world. I'm talking about Surf To Live, present in Somo and of Surf Camp, with three schools in Somo, San Vincente de la Barquera and Razo.
