Sunday roast at The White Cross in London

Sunday roast at The White Cross in London

Il The White Cross is a typical English pub which is located slightly outside London, more precisely in zone 4, in Richmond.
It can be easily reached by underground taking the District Line, or by taking one of the trains that connect central London with suburban areas, such as those that depart from Waterloo.

Il The White Cross offers typical English cuisine and is perfect for Sunday lunch, especially for its location, as it overlooks the Thames and offers a pleasant and relaxing view; it is frequented by both children and large families who meet here during the weekend to spend time together in front of a tasty dish from English tradition, like Sunday Roast, which can be found in three versions: beef, chicken and pork.

If you are in the mood for the great classics or if you want to stay lighter, the kitchen also offers burgers, fish and chips (highly recommended) and salads, not to mention the very tempting looking desserts. Inside it is very welcoming, with its sofas, armchairs and the fireplace that is very reminiscent of the atmosphere of the typical Victorian houses and during the sunny days it offers the possibility of being able to dine outdoors and enjoy the London sun.

It is a valid solution if you want to get away from the chaos of the center and enjoy some tranquility with a few friends over a nice pint of beer! Unfortunately the pub does not accept reservations, so especially for Sundays I recommend that you get there early so that you can reserve the best table and taste the various "Roasts".
