    Visit theIreland it doesn't always mean seeing the green hills or the city of Dublin. Irish museums have their own charm too, like a Cork, not to mention the Celtic culture, the historic breweries and so on and so forth.

    Cork offers a lot culture, museums and places in which to rest after a visit to the city. There Crawford Art Gallery it is located in Emmet Place, open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 16.45pm with free admission. The oldest section dates back to 1724 where sculptures, paintings and contemporary art exhibitions are preserved.

    Il Cork Public Museum it is located in Fitzgerald Park and is open from 11am to 13pm and from 14pm to 17pm, on Sundays from 15pm to 17pm and admission is free here too. The museum is located inside a large park since 1909 where there are objects and documents of the history of the city of Cork. In the Cork Public Museum there is also a beautiful model representing the entire city in medieval times.

    The only paid visit that is recommended not to be missed is the Cork City Gaol, the old prison now transformed into a truly splendid museum. There prigione which is located on Covent Avenue is closed from 22nd to 28th December. From March to October the museum is open every day from 9.30 to 18, while from November to February the entrance is allowed from 10 to 17, admission is paid, € 6 per person, but it's really worth it.
