Sleeping in Bali in Ubud and Seminyak

The review of two hotels in Bali, Alaya Resort and TS Suites in Ubud and Seminyak, to sleep like in a 5-star hotel, with all the comforts in Indonesia, read the post.

THEBali island it is experiencing years of strong development from a tourist point of view. Don't expect to arrive on an island that is still totally unspoiled and unknown to most. Tourism is catching on quite quickly, thanks to the growing interest that this little corner of Indonesia is awakening. This can be seen from the many buildings under construction, mainly hotels and clubs, which are found along the road.

Fortunately, the strong tourist appeal also linked to the beautiful Indonesian culture is reflected in many of these buildings built specifically for visitors. Bali has in fact been able to develop while maintaining a strong bond with its own traditions and typicality, or at least this was the first impact we had when we arrived on the island.
We organized our trip independently, choosing to stay in different points according to our movements, sleeping in Ubud e Seminyak.

I must admit that we allowed ourselves a few more luxuries than our usual travels, also given the much lower local cost of living compared to European standards. For this reason, you can easily afford to stay in 5-star hotels at the cost of a 3-star hotel in Rome. Certainly cheaper solutions exist and this does not mean that they are less beautiful or to be discarded a priori.

Alaya Resort in Ubud

We have chosen to be guests ofAlaya Resort a Ubud. A hotel with a typical Balinese design, overlooking a small paddy field and neighbor of the world famous Yoga Barn. The hotel has a particular design, with a strong local imprint made by the use of materials such as bamboo and dark wood. The rooms are very spacious and protected from any noise as they are away from the road. They are small open spaces with large beds, an open bathroom with a splendid round tub and a very spacious terrace overlooking the paddy field. Alaya has a restaurant it's a spa interior, although both are not lacking in Ubud! The service lives up to a 5 star hotel and the kindness and friendliness of the staff really make the difference. I have to admit it was my favorite hotel of our entire Balinese experience and I highly recommend it if you are planning a stop in Ubud.

TS Suites in Seminyak

When we moved to Seminyak, on the West Coast of the island of Bali, we chose to sleep at TS Suites, a very modern design hotel not far from the huge local beach. The hotel is very nice and very spacious, the hall overlooks an internal courtyard decorated with two huge fountains. Its strong point is undoubtedly thepanoramic infinity pool on the roof, open 24 hours a day and equipped with a bar and relaxation area with chill out music. Also on the same floor are the hotel's gym, spa and restaurant.

Our room was the most spacious we have ever slept in, complete with a mega sofa set against the panoramic window overlooking the city and a huge bathroom with a central tub. I am still very undecided whether to recommend it or not, since the hotel is really very nice and equipped with every comfort, the staff has always been very kind and friendly, but we had the misfortune of being assigned a room right in front of the elevator exit and exactly below the restaurant. This meant a lot of noises at every hour and we didn't get a good rest any of the three nights we spent there. If you decide to stay there anyway, make sure you get one room away from both elevators that from the restaurant, you will thank me, trust me!
