Skiing in Tyrol in October is possible

For those eager to start the ski season I recommend the Tyrol where winter starts already in October. Tyrol offers five glaciers for a total of 314 kilometers of slopes that never close even in August as the famous glacier Hintertux. While for the other four glaciers Stubai, Sölden, Pitztal e Kaunertal the season starts between mid-September and early October, it all depends on the climatic conditions.

There are some news on the glacier Pitzal a new eight-seater gondola lift with heated seats has been opened which, in just 5 minutes, can reach 3.340 meters above sea level. Here is the Cafe 3.340 with a structure made entirely of glass and a terrace suspended in the sky, ideal for a delicious and breathtaking break.

Also in the valley of the Stubai, the largest glacier in Austria, super-technological facilities have been inaugurated such as the 8-seater chairlift with padded seats and equipped with heating and protective visor, which starts from the Gamsgarten station and in just 5 minutes reaches Daunferner, one of the most large and popular. Furthermore, another chairlift will be inaugurated here in November, this time with 4 seats Daunjoch, but designed for more experienced skiers as it leads to a black run Run Black Dunhill over 3 km long, with a 60% gradient.

All these glaciers are about 150 km from each other, for those who want to explore all five there is a convenience ski pass called "White5"Usable for 10 days from October to May at a cost of € 335.
