Hotel Scandic Neptun in Bergen: where it is located

Specifically the Scandic Neptun in Bergen is located Valkendorfsgaten 8. A couple of streets above the one where the famous fish market of the city is located and at the perfect height so, looking from the opposite side of the quay, you can see the wonderful houses that make Bergen and its famous High City UNESCO heritage.

La position Scandic Neptun is perfect for those arriving from the airport because the stop is located in front of the fish market. On foot it takes about 10 minutes, even stopping to look at some shop windows, so very calmly.

Services and structure

Inside the hotel there is a large restaurant, but we have not been lucky enough to try it because we have always dined outside the hotel. A large, very bright hall and a breakfast room on the first floor will welcome you.

The facility apparently was recently renovated, or in any case a part has been added to the pre-existing structure.

We were lucky enough to see and sleep in the new, very spacious rooms. In addition to the double bed, there was also a cot for Giulio and the suitcases we had brought with us. Also in the room there was a corner with a small table and two armchairs, a desk with chair, mini bar and tea corner and a large bathroom, very spacious. The room had a windowed wall that overlooked a small, very quiet square, a television and two bedside tables with many sockets available.

The room was very comfortable, the room always clean and I must say very quiet, despite our stay coinciding with the National holiday of Norway, so we expected some more hustle and bustle, especially at night, which never happened.

The breakfast

THElift it reaches all floors, while the very large breakfast room is on the first floor. In the breakfast room, a very large one truth of fish and salmon await all guests, as well as sweet cakes and biscuits, fresh fruit, fruit juices, cereals and milk for adults and children. On the first day, the breakfast on our arrival also had a breakfast big cake with the flag of Norway on it, because as mentioned it was the day of Norway. A beautiful welcome that made us smile and welcomed us divinely.

Lo hotel staff he is very kind, helpful and also thoughtful. On the only rainy day we took in Bergen, we were offered a umbrella so as not to get too wet, compared to what we had already budgeted.
It is a pity not to have also tried the restaurant of the Hotel, since according to the guide, and the people we found nearby in the evening, it is a renowned restaurant even among the locals.

Scandic Neptun hotel, review: where to sleep in Bergen

The Scandic Neptun's strong point is undoubtedly its own position, perfect for those who want to explore the center of Bergen without wasting too much time in transport. The stay is also excellent for those with children and for families, in fact in the breakfast room high chairs are available for children to eat together and in complete relaxation.
