The airport destination that I recommend is Alicante, easily reachable from the main airports with the beloved low cost airline Ryanair. Upon arrival simply take a bus which takes you directly to Murcia city and get off at the bus station, from which you must then take the last bus having destination San Pedro del Pinatar. This country is well known throughout Spain and very popular with the Spaniards during the summer, it is famous for the Las Salinas park, for the flamingos, for the beaches, for the simple beauty of the area, for the tall palm trees and for the climate. dry Mediterranean; the country has about twenty-one thousand inhabitants and has some hamlets, among which Lo Pagán, located on the Costa Cálida.

San Pedro del Pinatar is washed by two seas, it is in fact located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, the largest salty coastal lagoon in Europe! For those visiting the country for the first time, the fact of being able to choose which of the two seas to spend the day is certainly a novelty. After spending a few days relaxing and enjoying the beauties that the town offers, I recommend moving to Lo Pagán: this hamlet of San Pedro is two kilometers from the town center and is easily reachable on foot as the roads do not have any hills and, in this way, you don't miss anything in San Pedro!

Many people cross the area using bicycles, rollerblades and skateboards. The center of San Pedro remains rather inland, but you can reach the beach by taking a beautiful walk of about four kilometers through the “Calle del Puerto”, arriving at the Saline. The landscape is breathtaking: during the walk you do not notice the time passing thanks to the countless details that continually draw attention, step by step you can glimpse pink or white hills in relation to the light and slowly we arrive at the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.

To reach the Mar Menor you have to go to the other side, to the hamlet of Lo Pagán. And here comes the nightlife, because in this village is the life of San Pedro in the summer: everyone goes to Lo Pagán! The beach is full of clubs and discos, you don't pay entry and the drinks are cheap! Among the most famous I remember the Santa MarÎŻa, Bastilla, Penelope... the latter is the only one that requires paid entry from Friday to Sunday, while it is free on the other days of the week where, however, there is not much chaos; this whole area in front of Playa de la Puntica is known by the name The Curve, so much so that we talk about La Curva de Lo Pagán.

Bastilla nightclub is known for commercial house music, Santa Marίa proposes instead pop-rock music. Don't worry, reggaeton is everywhere. The discos are attached to each other and each has its own terrace at the top, ideal for taking a breath of fresh air and admiring the sea. The atmosphere is truly magnificent. It is a very tourist area especially for young people, as it offers a great variety of entertainment; there are plenty of hotels and apartments that are rented out for the summer and the clubs close very late, around five in the morning. There are also many pubs that are located in the main street before reaching the beach, among the most famous: Let me, Los Cuadros, El Taponazo. I got to know these areas thanks to a friend of mine who lives there and I discovered that many Spaniards from the hinterland come to Lo Pagán to spend their summer holidays.

It is truly wonderful to spend evenings with friends in this magical place, always full of people. I remember that from Thursday to Sunday everything was always full, the other days less. Exactly behind the La Curva area there is a fairly large open space where they are often organized concerts and, when there are none, it is filled with attractions designed for the enjoyment of the little ones. Inflatables, bumper cars, rides, street performers… nothing is missing. There are also many stalls that sell local handicraft products, souvenirs, clothes, bags, food. They open around XNUMXpm and close late at night.

Speaking of activities during the day instead, if you go to Lo Pagán you should definitely visit La Manga: this thin strip of land allows bathing at the Mediterranean Sea and, after crossing the road, bathing at the Mar Menor; is fantastic!
