Roman Holidays with Audrey Hepburn in Via Margutta

Roman Holidays with Audrey Hepburn in Via Margutta

The town of Margutta is the known way of the art of Rome a few steps from the Pincio, made famous in the fifties by the famous film Roman Holiday who hosted the wonderful Audrey Hepburn in one of the attics present in the small houses of the '500.

The famous number 51 in via Marguette hosted Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn for “the whole film”. I don't think all the Romans who live around there know they have this luck otherwise the entrance would not have been left unattended and every day there would be lines of Italians and foreigners intent on being photographed. And what about the vespetta on which Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn got on? : D

Among others, famous characters from the cinema have stayed here. A plaque reminds them that they lived on this street Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina.
