Reach Versailles from Paris

    Reach Versailles from Paris

If you have already been to Paris several times you know that from the most romantic city in the world, at least so considered, you never get tired. But if you want to add something to your next vacation in Paris, whether you have 3 days or 7, don't forget the Palace of Versailles which made the modern history of our Europe and more precisely of France. A story that we all know and that you can see directly with your own eyes in the enormous palace of France. We explain here how you have to do to visit it. It is possible to reach the palace of Versailles in fact not only by car, also because in Paris it is not highly recommended to rent one since public transport is very functional, but also by RER C or by train.

When I saw it for the first time, the Palace of Versailles, despite being December and despite the mist, made a beautiful impression on me and in one way or another remained in my heart. Versailles is not difficult to reach, and in my opinion it deserves a visit, above all, as said if it is already the second or third time that you do a trip to France.

With the subway it is very easy to arrive at your destination, starting from the heart of Paris. Just enter the station and take a direct bus to the station Versailles-Rive Gauche, terminus of line C5  yellow line to be clear, from the station to the palace it is a 5 minute walk, following the directions you find just outside the subway. If you have purchased one Paris Visite, you should know that Versailles belongs to zone 4, which is therefore included in your subscription. Remember that the ticket comes instead € 6,50 each round trip and it takes about an hour to get to your destination. Not too expensive as a trip, don't you think?

As regards the train, you can instead take the one starting from Saint-Lazare or Montparnasse and get off at Versailes-Rive Doitre.

Finally you can also go in bus, taking the line 171, which starts from Pont de Sèvres, and thus get off at Versailles-Place d'Armes a few steps from the Palace. Whichever vehicle you choose, always remember that you are about to visit one of the most beautiful places in France and certainly in Europe, steeped in history and fascinating views.
