The Vienna Prater is a place to see, where to get together with friends to have fun on the Ferris wheel or where to meet to stroll through the Christmas Markets in Austria.
A Vienna one of the many attractions is the Prater, the amusement park that can be at your disposal for a whole day. Here among the 250 attractions the most sensational is certainly the Ferris wheel.
La Ferris wheel it was built in 1897 and only rebuilt in 1945 following a fire. The tour of the Ferris wheel it can be done in just over 20 minutes and from the top of its 64 meters the whole city. At the base there is also a café where you can stop for a snack.
Il ticket for the Ferris wheel it costs 9 €, a little less if you have the Vienna Card, children up to 14 years pay only 4 €. The wheel remains open until 19.45pm in January and February, 21.45pm from March to April and October, 23.45pm from May to September and 19.45pm in November and December, with the only exception during Christmas markets, where it closes at 21.45pm.
The Ferris wheel and very few other games are the only ones that are open all year round. The Prater has all the games running from May to October only. All times and prices are updated in November 2014.
