Port Macquarie, 10 beaches in Australia to see whales

Halfway between Sydney and Brisbane it is located Macquarie Port, a small town overlooking the ocean, which deserves a whole visit, not only for a pleasant walk, but above all for the beautiful beaches and of views that gives.

With in total 10 beaches Breathtaking, Port Macquarie allows you to indulge in a wide variety of activities ranging from surfing, Australia's national sport, to fishing, swimming, as well as numerous walks in beautiful national parks. Some beaches have no lifeguard service, and it is especially recommended to read carefully the signs present.

For those like me who love to use their feet as a means of transport, I recommend a nice "walk" (about 10 km) from Town Beach at Lighthouse Beach, stopping at the panoramic points, from which it is possible to admire the white beaches, the crystal clear water and a Nature Reserve. At Lighthouse Beach, as the name implies, there is a lighthouse on a promontory overlooking the ocean. Sit down and enjoy the view, pays off all the previous effort. If you are particularly lucky, you can see dolphins plowing the waves, and when it is time for them too whale. Exciting.

Note a small detail: the bus runs end around 6 in the afternoon (even earlier in the we) so, unless you intend to do 20 km in the day, better organize yourself! Another must not to be missed is the Koala Hospital: the Koala rescue center. It is possible to visit it for free every day, and at 15 to attend a small guided tour in which the sweet patients present themselves.
