    Il Palio of Suvereto it is a competition between teams of pushers, which takes place through the cobbled streets of the historic center.

    The palio originally did ran on horseback on the occasion of the celebrations of the patron saint of the town and has an ancient origin. The old Suveretans remember the horse races that were disputed on the then dirt road that led from the outskirts of the village to the millenary parish church of San Giusto.


    The tradition was revived in the 70s on the occasion of the local Wild Boar Festival, competing with archery competitions and also giving life to the local historical parade, a classic corollary of these events.
