Or porvenir, eat Galician in Barcelona for € 25

First week of August and everyone is preparing to leave. Less me. Which I stay at Barna to work .. since the holidays have touched me before and then also touch me in September. Too bad I was almost completely alone in the city, but I tried to enjoy the new house for what it is feast of Gracia he allowed me!

To greet many of the departing friends, we chose to feast in a Galician restaurant recommended by my colleagues.

This is the Or porvenir , located in Eixample district near the Hospital Clinic. The typical Spartan restaurant always full of people and with paper tablecloths. In short, I do not recommend it to lovers of glamor regardless but yes to lovers of fish and octopus in particular.

In fact, the "O porvenir" specializes in classics of seafood cuisine gallega: octopus with potatoes, clams, cannulicchi, cuttlefish (but there are also meat dishes). It is worth going there just to taste the octopus, which is actually their main dish. However, the other dishes also seemed of good quality and with absolutely abundant rations.

There were 11 of us and we asked: 2 rations of ham, 3 of olives and 2 of bread with tomato as an accompaniment to the initial beer, 3 rations of octopus, 2 of sea razor clams, 2 of cuttlefish, 1 of "fried fish" and 3 bottles of wine. We are all big gluttons but we had to ask the waiter please not to bring us the finger fish because we were about to burst. So dispassionate advice: then go there hungry!

The service goes way beyond expectations, with very kind waiters and very careful and at the end of the dinner they always offer a herbal liqueur to digest, elements not entirely easy to find in a city like this (in general the service is always bad). The bill definitely affordable since we spent around 25 euro each.

    Last advice, always book!
