Carrie's house from Sex and the City exists and is located in New York. Unfortunately you can't see inside, but you can always go outside and take some pictures.
A New York I took off a little whim. I don't think I'm the only one to have seen and still see, when it happens to me, the famous television series by Sex and the City. So, when I went to New York for about ten days, among the many activities, museums and places I wanted to see, I also added a visit to the famous home of Carrie Bradshaw.
Probably few, indeed very few, will not know who Carrie is, but perhaps many do not know that this house really exists. The home of the famous journalist, a lover of shoes (and wealthy men), is located at 64 Perry Street in a beautiful tree-lined street, just one of those streets that you imagine are only in New York.
When I got off at the 14th subway stop, I took a little walk around the famous Village neighborhood, before ending up under Carrie's house. The Town it is beautiful, full of trees and small bars serving delicious things, the waiters all seem nice and the tables outside the clubs a love. In these parts it all seemed intimate, beautiful, delicate. I thought it would be nice, indeed no, wonderful to live there.
Carrie's house is immediately recognizable. Currently a deadbolt on the stairs to prevent people from disturbing the neighbors too much. It is not possible to take pictures standing on the steps and obviously in this way it is difficult to take a picture taking a picture taking the entrance to the building or even just the beautiful window that overlooked Perry Street and from which Carrie looked out to see Mr. Big's limo!
Currently the house has been sold around 9/10 million dollars, sold to an anonymous buyer who made a dream come true, or bought it only to resell it at an even higher price.
Indeed, buying and reselling this house would have been a great idea given the number of famous people who have inhabited this building and this very house and to read from the number of films that have been shot in this very apartment. Not to mention the Village. This neighborhood is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in New York. But beautiful not only because it is full of trees and cafes, but because the stars of the cinema and show business live here.
It is no coincidence that in some streets of the Village, it is not difficult to see some walking star, model or TV presenter. This neighborhood is a perfect place for wealthy families. I who went there in the morning, on a working morning, so in the middle of the week, I could only see nannies and babysitters out and about in parks with children, but also dog sitters and policemen. The streets were all very clean and the shops really nice. But seriously beautiful!
While I was there to take a picture of myself trying to take the door, a piece of my face and maybe even the window, a guy passed by who, probably intrigued by what I was doing, asked me whose that house was. I answered him and he was surprised and asked me to take a picture of him in the house of Sex and the City too. Then he left, telling me that the house of the telefilm Friends, which I could not find, however, someone I'm coming! where is it? : D
