Living Nativity Scene in Cava dei Tirreni

Living Nativity Scene in Cava dei Tirreni

Now in its fourth edition, the Living Nativity di Cava dei Tirreni which will be inaugurated on December 28th at the Parish of S. Maria del Rovo. A challenge and painstaking work that pastoral workers and volunteers did not want to give up, on the contrary they decided to improve: this year the installation was conceived to make the interactivity of the single visitor prevail.

There will be two hundred figures in clothes of the time that will animate the scenes of the nativity scene: there will be shops, shepherds' houses, stables where you can admire the animals up close and much more before reaching the Bethlehem grotto. An exhibition designed for wheelchairs, so that even i disabled visitors can participate. To design the crib from scratch was Mr. Alfonso Bisogno, artistic director of the event, while the promoter is the young parish priest Don Francesco della Monica.

The crib will be open on 28 29 and December, while in January only on days January 1, 4, 6, 11 and 12. Admission is free and there will also be ample parking, always free for all visitors. The initiative is also linked to a photo contest that will reward the best photo with a small gift.
