In Rome by bus, it's worth it. Here is my experience

Get to Rome by bus can you? Yes sure. It is also possible save something? Absolutely yes. But how much is it worth it? To write this post I had to go and reread a old post written exactly one year ago: How much does it cost to travel? By train too.

In that post I was talking about a trip to Rome and the choice between train and plane. At the end of the post it is clear that from Rimini the fastest and often cheapest way (if booked in advance) is often the plane - on the post you will find the name of the airline in question.

These days, just so that I don't miss anything, I decided to test another means of transport to get to the capital, the bus, or bus or bus if you prefer. So yesterday I tried it, I got the timetables from the site, for safety I also called the Bucci bus lines, and I left.

Primo drawback: the site gives some timetables, on the phone they told me others and when I showed up at the Piazza delle Corriere they told me “this in Rome ?! but leaves in an hour!"Excellent -.- For reasons of convenience I started from the Marche, in fact this line is valid only for those who manage to starting from Fano, Pesaro, Cagli or other city nearby.

The advantage is that I paid from Cagli only 27 € each way. By train or plane I certainly dreamed of it! The defect is that the bus left at 15.40 pm and arrived at 19.15 pm and took about 3 hours. More or less what it takes with the train, in fact sometimes making the change even more (with the train I mean).

All in all the trip it didn't go wrong, had I arrived at the square at the right time, I probably would not have perceived the journey longer than it is. On the way there was one stop at a bar and the arrival at 19.15 pm was at Tiburtina Station, on the bus side. I will probably return in the same way even if the wrong time factor it is something very unpleasant that I hope they will fix as soon as possible.
