Hotel Meliá Alicante, restaurant review

Relaxation and splendid hospitality in the heart of Alicante, a four-star hotel with two swimming pools and a solarium. In the hotel there is the Terra Restaurant, where you can taste the real paella! Between the beach and the streets of the center full of clubs and attractions, you will be staying in a strategic position.

If there is something everyone wants to try when they land in Spain it is paella, but few know that paella is the typical dish of Valencia. So be wary of tourist menus that often offer frozen or poor quality paella, or paella that arrives too early on the table (it takes at least 25/30 minutes to make it). Paella in Spain is like pizza in Italy, everyone makes it but not everyone does it well. If there is a region where you absolutely must try this typical Spanish dish, that is it Valencian Community. During my visit to Alicante, staying in theMeliá Alicante hotels, I could taste the real paella, the best I've ever eaten.

Hotel Meliá Alicante: enjoy real paella

Il Terra Restaurant it is located in the Hotel Meliá Alicante: various types of paella are served. I tried the vegetable paella, a pleasure for the palate! The restaurant also offers a version of paella with seafood or meat.

Then you will find among the starters croquetas and buñuelos, crocché and cod fritters that must absolutely be tried.
If you want to continue trying Spanish dishes there is also the typical gazpacho.

From the Terra Restaurant you can therefore enjoy an excellent gastronomic experience, sitting in front of the port and the sea: the atmosphere will surprise you.

The restaurant menu is à la carte, you can also opt for the menu of the day with four first and four second courses to choose from.

The wines of the hotel

The restaurant offers a wide choice of local and national wines and spirits and the waiter perfectly recommended the best wine to accompany the lunch.

Hotel Meliá Alicante, restaurant review

The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and relaxing, the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is suitable for children because it is equipped with a high chair and changing table. And the location is no less: located on the seafront of Alicante, Hotel Meliá Alicante is easily accessible if you are staying in the city.
In short, I liked its gastronomic offer so much that I came back the next day too, and I can't wait to go back! I haven't eaten such a good paella since… although I live in Spain!
